Our open day was a great success, many people from Eastchurch Community attended including Sheppey FM 92.2, who kept the crowd entertained through out the day with the latest news and tunes.
Inside Eastchurch Village Hall, there were many other service providers promoting their services, POA learning, Salus, Sateda, mmkmind, Eastchurch allotments, and the Childrens Centres came along and did some face painting for us.
The dragon bouncy castle was a great success as was our Community Chef. We also had some of the local Community set up stallls. We were able to show the progress of the new garden and the shed that has recently been installed to support the community. Kent Music also bought along several instruments for the young people to try this was popular with the children and young people.
The local Eastchurch aviation Museum also came along and gave us some information on the museum at Eastchurch. Also our latest addition was the Sheppey Shed at Eastchurch, a Kent Sheds project, a new service to support shedders in the community over come isolation and improve mental health and wellbeing.
We at Sheppey Matters would like to Thank the Eastchurch village hall and all those that attended for the support given. For more information on any of the projects mentioned here or to find out how you can volunteer or access our services and events, please call or email Sheppey Matters.
